Scott abrams

Scott is the founder of The Omnicon Group—a worldwide engineering leader in designing, developing and delivering high reliability products and systems. He served as President and CEO until the sale of The Omnicon Group in 2017 to Spectris plc, a $2B publicly–traded UK company. Scott is the President of Scott B. Abrams, P.E. which helps client companies transform their business into a high-performance organization. Scott’s knowledge and experience includes marketing, sales, proposals, business operations, strategic planning, team building, project execution, mergers and acquisitions, due diligence, and negotiations.

In 2015 Scott was presented the Entrepreneur Award from the LI Technology Hall of Fame. Other awards include: 2012 Alex Gruenwald Award from the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE); 2011 Technology Entrepreneur and Rising Technology Leader Award from the LI Technology Hall of Fame; and 2010 Distinguished Alumni Award from Stony Brook University.

Scott is a recognized expert on reliability and has been dubbed “The Gizmo Doctor” by The New York Times, and “Mr. Reliability” by Long Island Business News. His contribution to the field of reliability and technology has been recognized twice by the IEEE. In 2015 he was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award in Reliability and in a prior year he was named Reliability Engineer of the Year.

Scott received his B.E. in Electrical Engineering from Stony Brook University and his M.S. in Electrical Engineering from New York University–Polytechnic School of Engineering. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in New York State.
