Plainview-based Edgewise Energy has done the C-suite shuffle, with Sammy Chu rising to chief executive officer.
Co-founder Chu, formerly chief innovation officer, succeeds co-founder James Emlock, who remains chairman of the Plainview-based energy-systems integrator.
Edgewise – which develops and aggregates regional energy projects, creating efficiencies that benefit both the electric grid and commercial customers – has also added two new executives.
Dan Kartzman, formerly a senior advisor on market development at the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority, joins as senior advisor. Dan Whitson, a solar power expert with stints at Islandia’s Green Audit USA and Copiague’s Powersmith Home Energy Solutions, joins as senior director of operations.
