Bernie Ryba is the Acting Regional Director of the Stony Brook Small Business Development Center. A Certified Public Accountant with a MBA from Hofstra University, Bernie began his career at Deloitte & Touche, LLP in Manhattan. Thereafter, he was employed by Pfizer, Inc. as an Audit Manager and later as Director of Strategic Planning. In this latter capacity, Bernie analyzed multiple commercial opportunitiesand business arrangements and made frequent presentations to both divisional and corporate management. A member of the American Institute of CPA’s, Bernie is also currently First Vice-President on the Executive Board of the Nassau County Village Officials Association which represents the 64Nassau County villages with a total population of about 460,000 residents.
